A lack lustre performance with several key players either out injured or being forced to play in unfamiliar positions because of it. Shane stood in goal replacing James, Jordan was missing due to Tottenham being at home (why go there?), and Ryan L out injured from last weeks game against Perry St. Ellis picked up an injury in the warm up and Alex was still suffering with his knee. You could use that as an excuse but the truth was we were second best all over the park, not wanting the points as much as Ongar. Dan showed his individual brilliance with a spectacular goal to bring the score 2-1 but the ref who hadn't been too bad up till then allowed Ongar a penalty to restore the 2 goal cushion Ongar enjoyed before the break. When the tables were turned and we were awarded a penalty at the other end he changed his mind after talking to the linesman and awarded a free kick. The possible goal would have made the scoreline more respectable. As it is we have to regroup and start again. Hopefully the week off next week will allow the injured players to recover, it will certainly allow me to recover after running the line for a second week. God, those boys can cover the ground quickly!! Chin up lads, hard work in training and we can push on as we always have done. Well done.
